Andrew Evans

Andrew is an Architect who joined Arc at 2022 with a strong focus on environmentally responsive and low-energy design. He graduated with Honours from The Glasgow School of Art and completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture in 2017, followed by an MSc in Environmental Architecture in 2019. He went on to lead a European Union–funded research project at Anglia Ruskin University and served as an Associate Lecturer.

Andrew brings expertise in BIM and energy simulation to deliver performance-led design. At Arc he has worked on conservation, community and residential projects.

Daniel Gibson

Daniel joined Arc Architects in early 2025 and has a strong interest in environmentally responsible design, materials, and craftsmanship. Since graduating from the University of Dundee in 2014 he has developed a broad range of professional experience, having worked with architectural practices in Amsterdam, London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Fife.

He particularly enjoys working with clients to enhance, conserve, and sensitively re-purpose existing buildings and spaces for future use.

Emma Donnelly

Emma prioritises working with existing buildings, enhancing them by designing with ethically sourced, low-carbon, environmentally considerate materials. She has collaborated with community groups & private clients on new-build, conversions & retrofit projects. She is also known to enjoy surveying the local medieval graveyards, playing a part in restoring the historic fabric & built heritage of these places.

Since graduating from the Centre for Alternative Technology in 2012, Emma has woven together environmental design & community activism—an approach that defines both her professional work & personal life.

Heather Winship

Heather is the practice administrator and has been with Arc for 20 years.

She oversees the daily running of the office and is the first point of contact for telephone calls and visitors, ensuring they receive a warm welcome.

John Møller Hansen

Originally qualified in Denmark, John joined Arc in 2025. He brings 20 years’ post-qualification experience in the UK. He has further qualifications as a Domestic Energy Assessor and Certified Passive House Designer.

John has worked on a wide range of residential projects, from private homes to large-scale social housing developments. His commercial experience includes retail and exhibition projects, delivering both new-build and conversion schemes within existing buildings.

Kristina Enberg

Kristina is an architect with strong experience in sustainable design and detailing, including the adaptive re-use and retrofit of existing buildings. After graduating from the University of Strathclyde, she worked in the Outer Hebrides and Glasgow before joining Arc Architects in 2022.

Alongside practice, Kristina has worked as a designer and curator of exhibitions and has contributed to the editing and publication of -ism Architecture Magazine. She was co-curator of A Fragile Correspondence, the Scotland + Venice collateral event at La Biennale di Venezia 2023.

Oliver Goddard

Oliver is a creative Project Architect, responsible for running diverse projects from inception to completion. He is passionate about the historic and natural environment and is RIAS Accredited in both Conservation and Sustainable Building Design.   Oliver has a passion for retro-fit and currently specialising in flood resilience and climate adaptations to historic buildings.

Oliver studied at the Centre for Alternative Technology before joining the practice in 2014.  In 2020, he left to obtain 4 years of alternative experience before returning to Arc in 2024.

Tom Morton

Tom is Director of Arc Architects and an expert in eco-design, heritage and sustainable transition, with over 35 years’ experience across Scotland and Europe. He holds advanced RIAS Accreditations in Conservation and Sustainable Building Design and is a Director of the Scottish Ecological Design Association, Cohousing Scotland and Earth Building UK & Ireland.

He has led multi-disciplinary teams for public, private and community clients, delivering adaptive re-use, conservation and award-winning affordable eco-housing projects, alongside UK and EU research. Tom works collaboratively with communities through co-creative, climate-responsive design processes.

Rossie is a perennial with striking classic eccentric, velvety, and silvery foliage, accompanied by elusive purple blooms propagated from a cutting from Rossie House when Heather worked as a gardener there.

Tommy

Tommy is a rampant scented lemon geranium that flourishes and expands around the office. Tommy was brought into the office by our director Tom Morton.
