Arc’s research focuses on developing sustainable materials and techniques. Projects have included technical studies of materials, commercial product research and development, post construction monitoring, sector development assessments and writing best practice guidance
Research is mainly commissioned by government organisations and private companies but we develop some projects independently. Funding bodies include the DTI, the Scottish Executive, Communities Scotland, Historic Scotland, local enterprise companies and private companies.
We often collaborate with other commercial and academic organisations,
both within the U.K. and abroad. We welcome inquiries regarding current
research projects as well as comments and feedback on published work. Some
