Arc Architects

One of the risks of climate change is that changing weather patterns will have damaging effects on traditional buildings. The Parnassus Project, funded by the AHRC, is studying the risks of flooding, increased rainfall and rising sea levels.

Arc are coordinating the Scottish research, in partnership with Historic Scotland and the National Trust for Scotland. We are particularly interested in developing best practice in drying buildings after flooding, the effects of flooding on clay buildings and in understanding the risks of rising sea levels on coastal communities.

The project runs until 2012 and we welcome enquiries and information from people working in this field.
