The Dundee Friends first approached Arc to assist them in completing a grant application for the refurbishment of their zinc roof.  It turned out the roof was in good condition but the façade was in desperate need of stone repairs to prevent injury to the passing public.

An extensive scope of conservation works were subsequently begun including masonry indents and rebuilding, descaling and full repoint, window refurbishment and burnt sand mastic works, lead working, new zinc to dormers and the roof access stair, insulation and chimney pots.

In addition to this, the works were extended to cover the refurbishment of internal areas including the basement and the refurbishment of one of the flats.
