The delicate restoration of the Cupar Baptist Church's rose window, was completed in 2007.

With the exception of the Church spire, the rose window is the main feature of the building. Located on the south side of the building, it is very exposed to the sun and to prevailing winds. Over time, the soft local stone had decayed extensively, and there was some damage to the stained glass.

The glass was carefully removed and fully restored by a specialist, and the stonework repaired and partially replaced with stone matched for its colour and weathering properties. It is now able to support the glass once again.

The work has strengthened the glazing, allowing the window to have its defective protective coverings removed so revealing it to the public once again.
