‘I believe that every poem contains, or implies, the proposal that another world is possible…..A world of dwelling’
John
Burnside, A Poet’s Polemic, 2003
This project explores the hinterland of living sculpture between poetry,
architecture and ecology in a collaboration between architect Tom Morton,
visual artist Brigid Collins, poet Larry Butler and jeweler Teena
Ramsay.
The group undertook a phase of experimental research,
exploring form, word, meaning and the potential of process
in collaboration between artistic disciplines.
Among a variety of possible outcomes, the project aims to define an
architect’s brief in the form of a poem, leading to the creation
of a building.
